What I saw remains like the echo of a melody—an inspiration and motivation for my visual world. The atmospheric moods in nature, the shadows and sunspots, dramatic cloud-filled skies, light and dark, loud and quiet, all of this stimulates me and allows me to be in the world. It is a kind of joyful melancholy that I feel when I immerse myself in the light, the wind, and the clouds, all the way to the horizon, or even just to the next tree.
