"In this series, I chose to work with abstract acrylic painting. In my commissioned work, I usually have to produce representational pieces, so with this project, I fulfilled a long-held wish to explore abstraction. The paintings are based on rough sketches in which I deliberately tried to avoid clear interpretability. While sketching, I used music mostly jazz and classical to get into the right mood and draw inspiration from it. This influence is also reflected in some of the titles of the works."
