Making Sound Visible / Sine Waves In his project Making Sound Visible, Vienna-based artist Denis Yashin explores the physical transmission of sound onto canvas and other analog media. The paintings in the Sine Waves series are visualizations of simple sine waves that have transformed into images through their own vibration. Precisely because the sine wave is inherently a simple and monotonous sound, the Sine Waves series also represents an attempt to create a complex and colorful world from that simplicity
